Daniel Henney cruises Myeongdong

American actor, Daniel Henney, cruises Myeongdong in Seoul, followed by throngs of fans. There are a few biracial American actors making names for themselves in Korean entertainment, but none with Daniel's charisma. Henney has wrapped up a series of commercials for clothing company, Beanpole, in which he stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow. The two make a very striking couple! See one of their commercials here.

Harold & Kumar 2...coming soon

Ajumma has seen the age-restricted trailer for the Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. At first I chuckled, was annoyed, then hollered, and finally roared in laughter. The trailer involves a bong, a cock, a woman's bare bottom, an inbred son kept in the basement, the KKK, George W. and Neil Patrick Harris. Nuff said! See it for yourself, here.

Where is she now?

Long live Michelle Kwan! The 27 year old made a rare appearance at the Women’s Sports Foundation’s 28th Annual Salute to Women in Sports, last November, where she was honored. Michelle, a nine-time U.S. Women’s Figure Skating Champion, five-time World Champion and two-time Olympic medalist, is best remembered for her steady grace and athleticism. (And you may remember how she was robbed of her Olympic gold medal in 1998 by little twit, Tara Lipinski.)

These days Ms. Kwan is busy studying political science and international studies at the University of Denver, where her mentor is none other than alum, Condoleeza Rice. Rice has named Kwan a "Public Diplomacy Envoy." This means Kwan travels to places like China and Russia and meets with young people to speak about leadership and to engage them in dialogue on social and educational issues. Even off the ice Michelle continues to be a role model. Take that, Tara!

Giovanni Ribisi in new episode of "My Name is Earl"

Earl is back with a new episode, tonight, featuring Giovanni Ribisi! Ribisi reprises his role as Earl's childhood friend, Ralph, who has just escaped from prison and is living incognito. See a clip of tonight's episode here.

Ajumma on Giovanni: Ribisi is always outstanding whether it's comedy or drama. If he looked anything like Leonardo DiCaprio, he'd be Hollywood's biggest star.

Book of the month: The Other Boleyn Girl

Drama. Sex. Murder. It's all for the taking in Phillipa Gregory's delectable novel, The Other Boleyn Girl. Originally published in 2002, The Other Boleyn Girl is a fictional account of the lives of sisters Mary and Anne Boleyn as they vie for the bed of Henry VIII in 16th century England. Phillipa's book is the perfect guilty pleasure, full of vivid characters and lurid tales of treachery.

The Other Boleyn Girl, the movie, is due in theaters next month. Scarlett Johanssen plays demure, blond Mary and Natalie Portman is the overly ambitious, doomed sister Anne. Eric Bana also stars as Henry VIII.

Bring back the buzz cut.

Wonbin's 191 day stint in the Korean Army is all but a fleeting memory. Gone are his buzz cut and newly formed muscles. A more glamourous Wonbin has a 2008 calendar that's been flying off shelves all over Asia. Wonbin's getting a little too pretty, in my opinion. Maybe it's the rouge.

David Lynch talks about iPhone

From the man that brought you Twin Peaks, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive (aka some of the most disturbing movies ever). I'm loving the red velvet drapes. I thought I saw David Lynch, recently, waiting for take-out in a Minneapolis sushi bar. Then I figured he wouldn't be caught dead in a Vikings cap.

What did the hand say to the face? SLAP!

How much does Ajumma adore HGTV interior designer, David Bromstad? The 34 year old Miami, Florida transplant is all talent, tan, and drive. I'm waiting for the moment he dramatically bitch slaps his carpenter for compromising on a cut or design, though. If you've seen David's show "Color Splash" you know it's coming. Hopefully next season he stops catering to boring, rich married couples and dabbles among those of us not white, rich, or straight.

3 Things That Hate Ajumma

1. Cats

They gouge, they scratch, they jump on Ajumma's back. I think they sense I used to be a dog in a past life. (If I added a 4th item to this list, by the way, it'd be "cat people.")

2. Cacti

And succulents. Despite my widely known green thumb, cacti and succulents insist on dying in my care. It's starting to hurt my feelings.

3. Diesel store employees

These snotty retailers choose to completely ignore me. They pretend to dance to the techno remixes as they fold their overpriced t-shirts, but I know they see me wandering about about their store.
