"That's my purse!" ringtone

You may recall the King of the Hill episode where Bobby Hill happened upon a women's self-defense course. Bobby learned to kick butt with the battle cry, "That's my purse! I don't know you." This has turned into one of the funniest ringtones ever. Listen here.

Does somebody have a muzzle?

NPR's Talk of the Nation tackled the topic of bullies, last week. Host Neal Conan, along with D. Aileen Dodd, an education and family reporter for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, asked what motivates bullies and urged listeners to call in. A psychologist named Mary called up to say she's a bully, and then all hell broke loose on air. Listen to the story here.

Where in the world is Daniel Henney?

Daniel Henney's been getting busy down under! Daniel traveled to Australia to film his new reality TV show Daniel Henney Goes Outback which is sponsored by, you guessed it, Outback Steakhouse. I'll say this about Outback Steakhouse, they have good bread.

Sayonara, Akira

Ajumma's been waiting for an update on Leonardo DiCaprio's Akira project, based on the hit manga and anime. Unfortunately, the live-action film seems dead in the water. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (slated to play Tetsuo) confirmed there is no Akira script. Oh well, no movie is better than a bad movie!

On a related topic, writer Ed Moy asks whether Hollywood white-washes Asian roles in remakes. The answer seems to be yes, but I have heard the Japanese explain that animated characters aren't necessarily meant to be Japanese people. As with everything, it's complicated.

The Iceman cometh to SXSW

Val Kilmer appeared at South By Southwest this week to premiere his new comedy movie, MacGruber. Kilmer, um, wore a big bolo tie. And he's certainly not balding. And, um, his face is symmetric. The glass is still half full. See what Val looked like at JustJared.

A list of DON'TS for men with Asian fetishes

If you've ever taken a Japanese or Chinese language class in college, then you've probably met guys with Asian fetishes. The amazing thing is once they get over to Asia, girls tend to fall for them no matter how arrogant, creepy, or dorky they are. Genevieve is an Asian American gal who has dated a few men like this. She's come up a hilarious list of Dont's for these dudes.

Side note: Women can have Asian fetishes and be just as annoying, especially when they think they're God's gift to Asian men.

What powers an ajumma?

Wonder Woman has her bracelets. Ajumma wield visors (the bigger the better), tight perms, polyester slacks and rubber gloves. These things define ajumma and aid them in keeping the sun out of their eyes as they beat you to the top of the bus steps, and make them aerodynamic when ramming their carts into your ankles at the market. As they'll tell you, if you can't stand the heat stay out of E-Mart. Cute ajumma pic by cliffmarck
