LAW & ORDER creator DICK WOLF refused to shake MATTHEW PERRY's hand at a benefit on Saturday (13Oct07), after the former "Friends" star made an offensive joke about Native Americans.Perry was hosting The Lili Claire Foundation fundraiser in Los Angeles when he revealed he once attended an event honouring Native Americans, joking organisers weren't able to find a famous Indian host.Flags of Our Fathers star Adam Beach, a member of the Salteaux Indian tribe, looked visibly upset and when he later shared the stage with his pal Wolf, the TV mogul told the audience, "I don't know where Matt is, but here is your American Indian."
What?! That's TWO stupid things said by clueless white guys. Dick Wolf's comments are almost more insensitive. "Here is your American Indian." At least Matthew was joking. I'm surprised NBC doesn't require Adam Beach to wear a sign that reads "American Indian" to all their promos.
