Actor Christian Bale appears in-person for a program of his work. First, Bale’s a wounded Civil War vet in James Mangold’s remake of 3:10 to Yuma (2007). Next, he’s one of six Bob Dylans in Todd Haynes’ I’m Not There (2007). Then, he reinvents the caped crusader in Batman Begins (2005, Christopher Nolan). And lastly, Bale brings yuppie to a new kind of trickle-down disturbing with the adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho (2000, Mary Harron). Also included: discussion with Bale, all-evening buffet and special Christian Bale memorabilia. Newsies t-shirts, I know it.
