Pam Serves Homeless at Shelter (in stillettos)

Pam! I love you. Thank you for supporting PETA. I'm always complaining that celebrities don't support animal rights because it's not as glamourous as helping poor people with cleft palates or adopting a kid straight out of Africa. I only wish you weren't quite so nutso, because it kind of diminishes PETA's credibility. But hey, who is splitting hairs here? Some might question why I applaud you while I diss Paris Hilton. It's because you, Pam, seem like a fun person who doesn't take herself too seriously. Plus you're not out buying a million chihuahuas and a monkey.

Here's you serving up vegetarian meals at a Los Angeles homeless shelter. About the traditional Thanksgiving meal, you've said:

"The holiday season can be especially hard for those who find themselves homeless, and it's murder on turkeys. With so many healthy and delicious options nowadays, it's easy to have a holiday meal that gives even turkeys something to be thankful for."
That's a little kooky, but you've never claimed to have your Ph.D.!

People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive!"

People Magazine's annual "Sexiest Man Alive" issue hits newstands this week. This year's winner is Matt Damon, which confirms my suspicions that People's editors are fifty-year old, boring-ass white women. Of all the men in entertainment, who chooses Matt Damon as the most appealing? Here are some other men who made the "Sexiest" list:

Ryan Reynolds - (Hell yes. Funny and ripped. Please tell me he's an animal lover.)
James McAvoy - (Replace with Clive Owen)
Brad Pitt
Javier Bardem
Patrick Dempsey - (Replace with Adam Beach)
Dave Annable - (Replace with Carey Hart)
Will Smith - (Replace with Taye Diggs)
Shemar Moore- (Replace with Common)
Ben Affleck- (Replace with Eric Bana)
Adrian Grenier- (Replace with Daniel Henney)

Will Yun Lee - (Korean Americans represent)
Justin Timberlake - (Replace with Shia LaBeouf)

A Love Letter to L.A.

The Rock describes his new film, "Southland Tales," as a love letter to the city of Los Angeles, or a bitch-slap, whichever you prefer. The movie takes place in L.A. on the 4th of July, 2008. The city is on the brink of political and enviromental collapse (just another day in Southern California, if you ask me) in this science fiction-drama-comedy that weaves together multiple characters in vignettes. The Rock plays an entertainer with amnesia, Sarah Michelle Geller a porn star, and Seann William Scott a Hermosa Beach cop with clues to bring down the apocolytic conspiracy. "Southland Tales" debuted in 2006 at Cannes to rotten reviews, but was re-edited. New reviews describe the film as incoherent, but as we all know, for every incoherent film there is an audience who will hail it as a classic.

Will Ferrell is George W. Bush

Don't vote. Don't watch the news (unless it's FOX). And don't listen to liberals.

The Skank Has Landed!

I wasn't going to mention that Paris Hilton arrived in Seoul, last week. But then she showed up wearing a hanbok! Check out her equally blonde Korean hairdresser. He's just LOOOVING her. I wonder if he dyed his hair especially for his encounter with Paris. If I know Koreans, they're likely thinking, 'Ooh, you're so slutty. I heard you spent time in prison. But then again, you're so blonde and skinny! That makes up for your sluttiness and prison sentence.'
Update: I suspect the blonde guy is not a hairdresser, but the annoying comedian from the Korean TV show, "Rainbow Romance." He seemed a lot cooler when he was a gay, blonde hairdresser.

The Hilary Dilemma

Presidential campaign time is here! Would I love to have a female U.S. President? Indeed! Would I love her to be educated, worldly, and compassioniate towards those less fortunate? Of course. Am I going to vote for Hilary Clinton? I'm not sure. There's probably not one clean politician in Washington, but I feel like the Clintons have a cloud of deception hanging over them relating to China's funneling of campaign funds, Whitewater, and the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky episode. As a woman, I question why Hilarly would stay with her husband when he lied to her and the American people about his affair with Lewinsky. Some Americans feel that what the President does in his bedroom is his own business. Remember, people, Clinton held his affair all over the White House. Hilary, Bubba brought his mistress into your home! I would have kicked Bill to the curb faster than you can say "Linda Tripp." I suspect Hilary realizes Bill Clinton is her meal ticket and she intends going to ride that train all the way to the White House in 2008. I'm just not sure whether Ajumma will be on board.

Details on Jet Li's new Film, "Warlords"

According to Jet Li, 2004's "Hero" was to be his final epic martial arts film. Perhaps the script for "Warlords" was just too much to pass up, because next month Li will star as a Qing-era (1644-1911) warlord trying to save his own neck against local rebels and his own two "blood" brothers, played by Takeshi Kaneshiro and Andy Lau. This movie appears to be a sweeping drama, rather than regular martial arts schtick. But with Jet Li on board you can rest assured that there will be some good action sequences. I do have concerns about horses being injured on set, though. Foreign countries often do not have laws to protect animals during the filming of movies. Animals are known to be intentionally injured for scenes, and there are several battle scenes involving the downing of horses in "Warlords."

The Booty Has Landed!

Beyonce touched down in Seoul, this week, where she'll perform two shows at the Olympic Stadium. Here she's seen receiving flowers from a little girl in a traditional Korean hanbok. I'd imagine that Beyonce has quite a few demands before making public appearances. Among them is probably that no one be allowed to make her appear a baffoon. Thus, Beyonce escaped being stuffed into a Korean dress and paraded in front of the media. Korean traditional clothing can be incredibly beautiful and elegant, but for some reason when foreignors visit handlers put them in the gawdiest getups available. Here are some other celebrities who came to Seoul and forgot to put the clause in their contracts:

Britney

Venus Williams

The Black Eyed Peas (will.i.am looks extra pissed)

And the "Ugliest Hanbok Ever Award" goes to....pop singer, Amerie (seen here with her mom)!
